If you are a photographer living in Dubai and you don't have a collection of photos featuring Burj Khalifa, that is a bit unusual. After all, Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world and was even named the most photographed building in the world in 2017. So here, meet the photographers who dedicate a significant portion of their content to this iconic tower. Be ready to see a lot of beautiful photos with the moon and the lightning bolts!
Abhin Sreedhar has made various compositions of Burj Khalifa — during celebrations, closer views, at sunrise, and more. But the shot he had been dreaming of was capturing Burj Khalifa with lightning bolts. He finally succeeded on February 12, 2024.
Born in Kenya and based in Dubai, John, known as @johns.e.y.e, captures remarkably clean photos of Burj Khalifa. His images are characterised by their simplicity and focus on the tower itself, featuring it illuminated by sunlight, sometimes in monochrome, but more often alongside the moon.
Apart from all the other photos he has taken, Altamash Javed has been capturing the tower from various angles and at different times of the day for many years.
We recall ALJVD's fascination with the moon, and here's another example: Rami Dibo. As stated on his website, he has even “earned the moniker ‘moon man’ for his obsession with blending the beauty of the moon with Dubai's cityscape and other elements, seeking unique moments that mesmerise audiences.”
On Mohd Yazeen's Instagram account, you will come across a wealth of modern architectural wonders that Dubai is renowned for, with Burj Khalifa prominently featured among them. Our favourite shots are the ones taken during sunrise and sunset.
During these golden hours, the tower appears less like a grand monument and more like something delicate and genuine.
