The Most Expensive Hotel In Dubai Is Coming

13 Mar 2024

So, word on the street is that our city will be welcoming its first Aman Resorts all-suite hotel in JBR, right next to Four Seasons Resort Dubai, by 2027.
Furthermore, according to the Owner, Chairman and CEO of Aman Resorts, Vlad Doronin, this hotel will become the most expensive hotel in Dubai, giving it some tough competition to its opponents on the market.
So, what is the buzz about and why is this thing?

Aman Resorts

Aman Resorts is an ultra-luxury hospitality brand that operates a collection of high-end resorts and hotels around the world. The company was founded in 1988 by Adrian Zecha and is known for its commitment to providing guests with unique and immersive experiences in exquisite and often remote locations. Aman Resorts is renowned for its luxurious accommodations, personalised service, and attention to detail.
More than that, the USP of this hotel group is that each Aman property is designed to cultivate the place’s identity and is aimed to reflect the local culture and surroundings, offering a serene and calm atmosphere. The resorts often feature spa facilities, fine dining options, and architecture that harmonises with the natural environment. Aman Resorts has established a reputation for exclusivity and has properties in various locations, including Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa.

Dubai Plans

Construction is already in progress for the ultra-luxurious hotel, which will ensure a secluded getaway along a 350-metre private beach. The establishment will offer uninterrupted views, exceptional dining, a spacious 2,300m2 Aman Spa, nine acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, and an exclusive Aman private member’s club.

The Design

Designed by Kerry Hill Architects (KHA), the resort will embody Aman's cherished minimalistic and contemporary design ethos, featuring natural materials, clean lines, desert tones, and local stone. KHA is the same firm behind Aman's trio of hotels in Japan, the resort will offer unobstructed panoramic views of the Gulf, the Dubai skyline, and the Burj Khalifa. This retreat will seamlessly blend Aman's calm atmosphere with Arabian hospitality, taking inspiration from the region's rich architecture and culture.

The gardens

As mentioned above, the greenery is in plan. The main element of the project will be a vast 3.6-hectare expanse of gardens and parkland, surpassing the botanical gardens established at Aman Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The Dubai gardens, almost double the size, will be situated right on the waterfront, emphasising a commitment to avoiding excessive concrete along the coastline.

Furthermore...

Aman Resorts also has plans for the construction of Aman Wadi Safar, a 78-room desert resort near Riyadh, close to Saudi Arabia's UNESCO Heritage site of At-Tura, expected to open as well in 2027.
Aman AlUla is also planned for the Kingdom, focusing on its remarkable natural landscapes, with an undisclosed opening date.
So, for now, the competition is live to determine who will host the first Aman brand in the Middle East: the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
Besides, Aman’s younger sibling Janu is also expected to host visitors starting from 2027!
