Celebrating Dubai Design Week's 10th year, everyone’s favourite Level Shoes partnered with majestic Soho House to present two exclusive events as part of Soho House’s Cities Without Houses initiative. These events honoured a decade of creative and cultural impact in the Middle East, amplifying dialogues on craftsmanship, community, and evolving retail experiences.

The first event, an intimate dinner on November 8, hosted by Achraf Mzily and Natalie Mahakian of Bone alongside Soho House and Level Shoes, brought together select guests at Bone's Jumeirah villa. A spectacular lavish venue was just the beginning, as attendees enjoyed a custom menu by Dubai chef Jesse Blake, incorporating Middle Eastern flavours with creative twists — local cheeses, smoked eggplant with spiced date agrodolce, and a dessert featuring burnt coconut caramel, black tahini, and hibiscus. A limited-edition ceramic plate crafted by Algerian ceramist Nessma Djouhri, the founder of Lutum ceramics, was gifted to each guest, capturing the event’s spirit of artistry and regional craftsmanship.
Following the intimate dinner, a public panel on November 11 at the Level Shoes flagship in Dubai Mall explored the transformative role of design in retail.
Led by Bone and featuring Tarik Al Zaharna, director of T.Zed Architects, the panel highlighted consumers’ growing desire for connection within retail spaces. The focus of discussion was around a renewed appreciation for authentic, in-person shopping experiences — a significant theme as Dubai Design Week concluded its 10th year.

With the support of VCA cultural projects agency, Level Shoes and Soho House spotlighted the intersection of luxury retail and cultural discourse, paying a tribute to the longest running design event, and highlighting Dubai as a vibrant centre for design and community, what appears to be at the pupil of the Editions eye.
