Series To Watch If It Is Raining Outside

2 May 2024

Alright, with the recent heavy rainfall, the conclusion is clear: it is safer to stay at home while it is raining. But what to do besides work and eating? How about watching some series? We have compiled a few recommendations for you to help pass the time during the rain.

Ted Lasso

He knows absolutely nothing about football. He is clueless about England, and he thinks tea tastes horrible, like brown water. That is Ted Lasso, who came to England to coach AFC Richmond. His journey was tough, but this man is the kindest person ever; his character is filled with the best qualities a human being can have. Eventually, he will become a role model for everyone.
You just can’t stop watching it. After you have seen it once, you want to watch it again. And you don’t just want to sit and watch; you want to spend quality time with it.
Be careful: there is a Baby Shark Parody — “Jamie Tartt Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo” — and that song will stick with you forever.

Succession

Once upon a time, there lived a prominent leader of the international media conglomerate Waystar Royco, Logan Roy. He had four children who were born into privilege and had everything they desired. As Logan Roy grew older, the time came to pass on his business empire to one of his heirs. But who? None of them seemed entirely dependable.
The charm of this series lies in its accessibility from any episode. Either everything will be clear, or nothing will be clear, but it will still be very interesting.

Money Heist

Picture yourself as a talented thief caught in a tight spot (it could be anything), when suddenly, a mysterious man in glasses, referring to himself as the Professor, crosses your path and extends a helping hand. Would you take the leap of faith? That's the million-dollar question.
In the series, a handful of such adept thieves put their trust in him, forming a crew where real names are prohibited — each member took a city name instead. Their mission? To make a heist than no one has ever made before: to heist 2.4 billion euros from the Royal Mint of Spain.
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao!

Lupin

Assane Diop is planning to pull off a heist on the necklace of Marie Antoinette, set to be auctioned at the Louvre. No, it is not about money. It is not just about being a thief for the sake of it. It is personal. Twenty-five years ago, Assane's father was wrongly convicted for stealing that very necklace. Assane wants to clear his father's name and get back at those who framed him.
He operates with precision, skilfully covering his tracks, appearing here and there, in disguise and out of it, constantly changing his attire. Few can anticipate his moves (though someone did!), but if you know where to look, it is pretty straightforward: Assane operates according to the adventures laid out in the books about the gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin.

Brooklyn 9-9

It is kind of like "The Office," but set in a police precinct. Detectives are out catching bad guys, goofing around at work, poking fun at their boss (but still respecting them), and trying to make the world a better place.
It is worth watching, if only for moments like this.

Ginny & Georgia

Georgia Miller has two kids — Ginny and Austin — and they are always on the move, hopping from one city to another. Georgia is this vibrant blonde who just charms everyone and always gets her way. You would think, moving around like that, they just haven't found their place yet, trying out new things. But it is not as straightforward, especially considering that Georgia isn't the real name of our leading lady.
She has got a past packed with people and secrets, and there is a little box tucked away in her closet filled with mysteries.
