We continue exploring places to enjoy the best coffee around (not just coffee, by the way; we have also found a spot for the best gelato ever). After checking out Pedal.cc, it is time to hunt down the next great cup.
So, this piece is going to be big for all true coffee lovers. Why? Drum roll… The iconic Bacha Coffee is now open in the Dubai Mall.
Bacha Coffee is one of the most authentic coffee brands in the world. Serving up to 200 types of 100% Arabica and delicious delicacies, Bacha Coffee is successfully fostering their authenticity within the global expansion.
The Story
This beautiful Wes Anderson style is not simply a choice but their true heritage. Their history dates back to 1910, originating from the Dar el Bacha palace in Marrakech, Morocco (a must-see if you are in the city, by the way). This magnificent palace acted as a place for social gatherings, hosting prominent figures like Colette, Maurice Ravel, Charlie Chaplin, Josephine Baker, Franklin Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill. The palace boasted opulent décor, including cedar wood ceilings (this is where their signature shade of orange comes from), marble floors, saffron-stained porticos, and vibrant zellige mosaics. As World War II came, the palace closed, preserving remnants of its glamorous past within its walls, encapsulating a bygone era.
In 2017, the place was renovated and reopened, retaining its authenticity and cultural significance. That is why no matter which Bacha Coffee you will be across the world, you will always encounter flawless hospitality, colourful style and brilliant, breathtaking coffee experience.

The New Menu (pun intended)
Bacha Coffee released a collection of new bites to flawlessly complement its one-of-a-kind coffee experience with vanilla beans and creme.
The new menu features breakfast and brunch set menus, à la carte options, and decadent desserts. Each dish is meticulously crafted to pair perfectly with Bacha Coffee's beverages. More than that, most of the dishes include a pinch of coffee in their recipes, like Shakshouka, their signature butter or even the Hollandaise sauce in Poached Eggs.
Using high-quality ingredients, Bacha continues its legacy of excellence and innovation, offering guests a sensory experience in an elegant Moroccan style. Visitors are invited to explore these new additions, promising a memorable dining journey that celebrates Bacha Coffee's esteemed heritage and coffee legacy.
Coffee you must try (or at least smell; yes, you can ask to smell them)
Fun fact about Bacha — they are one of the few companies that are sourcing coffee beans themselves, ensuring quality at each step.
Trying to navigate through up to 200 types of coffee, every visit to Bacha starts with the same question — what kind of coffee do you like? So, let’s discuss the cameos:
Tip: Go for the single origin in the morning, ask for the “morning” selection, and try their decaf after 4 pm to fall asleep later. Also, they don’t serve coffee with milk, but if you like milk-based beverages, just tell the waiter, and they will serve you the most tender and milky cup of black coffee in your life.
Mountain Everest
Ujjal Rana turned a dessert-like rice farm into a lush coffee plantation at Mount Everest Supreme. The predominantly Caturra coffee bushes absorb the mountain foothill's essence, yielding unique flavours impossible to find elsewhere.
Paraiso Gold Coffee
This is the single most expensive coffee in the world. And it is for a reason. In the high Cerrado Mineiro region, the Andrade family operates one of the oldest coffee plantations. Situated at 1,100 metres altitude, their coffee benefits from ideal rainfall and heat conditions. Cherries are meticulously harvested at optimal ripeness, sorted by colour, and then processed without water to preserve bean quality. This natural method promotes uniform drying and enhances flavours, resulting in a high-quality coffee with exotic notes ranging from rose to chocolate and a delightful acidity reminiscent of rhubarb and cherry.
Song of Summer
True picking flavour with no artificial flavours. Offering a delightful mix of wild strawberries paired with Chantilly cream and subtle chocolate undertones, this one is so good you can practically have a coffee for dessert.
Rosenheim
This one comes in both caffeinated and decaf, and it is for those who like their coffee smoky. Hidden in Oxapampa's jungle at 1,600 metres above sea level, this plantation produces just 69 kg of handpicked, sun-dried coffee annually. Shaded by surrounding trees, it preserves its environment and holds a "Rainforest Alliance" certification. Hand-selected green beans result in a refined, floral, slightly spicy cup, offering a memorable tasting experience.
Marrakech Morning
This one is a great start-your-day drink. Caramel and tender, it's great paired with cream or had in black. Enhanced by the aroma of sweet cinnamon bark and fresh green almond with hints of ripe plum and wild cherry, this remarkable 100% Arabica coffee tantalises its flavourful profile.
Their coffee is prepared in a special E90 machine with precisely 35 grams per pot, so you can enjoy your cup of impeccable drink every time.
Coffee Accessories
The best part about this experience is that you can take it home, as Bacha Coffee sells everything you can see on the table and around you, from water glasses to coffee filters. So, if you are a coffee lover — you can definitely get a gift for yourself there.
How to get there?
Last but not least — the location. Dubai Mall, as mentioned, better come to Fashion Avenue, and Bacha is located right on the second floor, near the Miu Miu shop. The best time to visit would be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, as this is the only time when the place isn’t crowded, and you will surely get a chance to sit.
