Art You Can Live With: Interior Pieces For Serial Aesthetes

29 Oct 2025

At some stage in adult life you catch a curious bug: an urge to fill your home with pretty little things that serve no clear purpose beyond making your eyes happy. I totally get it — some things don’t need a job, they just exist to be adored. So, if you are currently on the hunt for something very special, here is a round-up of eternally beautiful and, occasionally, functional pieces worth the obsession.

Wandler x Solid Nature — Peanut Collection

Many know Wandler for its cult Hortensia bag, but the brand’s accessory universe is far roomier than that — and now it is wandered from fashion into homeware. Enter a stellar collaboration with SolidNature, the boutique stone studio behind interiors for Prada, Dior and Jacquemus.

Taking the humble peanut as a muse, they have turned serious slabs into playful objects: hand-carved shelves, candle holders, bookstands and bowls in SolidNature signatures like Hermee onyx, Verde Bullae onyx, Amarena Field marble and Starry Night granite. It is beauty for beauty’s sake with just enough function to keep your conscience quiet.

Georg Jensen Artisans Series — Ice-Cream Serveware

Since its debut at a gelateria pop-up during Milan Design Week, I have been losing sleep, obsessively refreshing Georg Jensen’s site for the drop. This sterling-silver spin on classic ice-cream spoons, trays and cups reimagines disposable shapes as lasting keepsakes, giving small moments a bit of ceremonial shine. Splurge, and your Netflix nights with a bucket of ice cream won’t ever be the same.

AnZa R2 — Concrete Coffee Machine

Part sculpture, part caffeine enabler. The R2 is cast in concrete with porcelain touch points, matte black powder-coated steel and just enough brass to feel a bit smug about your countertop. It pulls a proper espresso, but mostly sits there looking like a tiny brutalist townhouse for beans, made to order (naturally).

Tina Bobbe — Pipe Frame & Stone Drip

If you aren’t ready to ditch your coffee machine, you can still dress it up. The Pipe Frame by Tina Bobbe is a sleek handmade cover-up that slips around your espresso maker like a smart jacket. Sold without the machine (sensible), and you can tweak the size and colour so it plays nicely with your kitchen. More of a slow-pour person? Go for the Stone Drip that combines natural stone, resin and glass — less hiss, more hush, and a counter that looks better with it.

Loewe — Hizashi Open Knot Stone

Yes, it is literally a rock wrapped in leather — and somehow, it makes perfect sense. Created by Japanese mother–daughter duo Shizu Designs using traditional basket-making techniques, each stone is tied in calfskin with an ornamental Hizashi knot.

It does absolutely nothing except look serene and expensive, which is kind of the dream. Paperweight, talisman, or coffee table decoration — call it what you want. Either way, Loewe just made having a pet rock fashionable.
