Ride the wind in peace: Jebel Ali Beach

Depending on your location, Jebel Ali Beach is 20–40 minutes from Dubai's city centre. Although smaller than other Dubai beaches, its serene atmosphere and fewer crowds make it well worth the journey.

The Palm Jebel Ali's unique shape shields the beach from waves, creating a lake-like surface ideal for kitesurfing. With its visually stunning views, flat waters and expert equipment rentals, this treasure trove awaits your discovery.

Jebel Ali Beach promises an idyllic travel experience, blending adventure and beautiful scenery.

Mastering light-wind in Dubai

Travel to Dubai and discover the ultimate kitesurfing experience, even in light-wind conditions. Local riders hit the water multiple times weekly, knowing the right gear to bring.

For a better kitesurfing experience in Dubai, switch your 7 metres kite for a 15 metres inflatable kite. When riding a twin-tip board, choose one over 140 centimetres for added stability. Consider switching to a surfboard or foil board for maximum sessions to unleash your full potential.

Enjoy the thrill of foiling in Dubai's light winds while kiting further from the beach and marvelling at the stunning skyline from a unique perspective.

Reliable wind forecasts are crucial for planning your kitesurfing sessions. Note that UAE is a perfect place for kitesurfing, but only when we talk about the season: approximately from November till April.

Local knowledge and the right equipment empower you to ride the wind, even in light conditions.

Kitesurfing in Abu Dhabi: Flying high

The winds are similar to Dubai but often stronger by 1–3 knots, especially when blowing from the Northwest.

Unlike Dubai, Abu Dhabi's kitesurf spots are uniquely influenced by the mangrove surroundings, shallow waters and strong currents. It is essential to be mindful of tide coefficients and research the specific characteristics of your chosen spot.

If you are a foil addict, note that shallow waters and strong currents can be harsh on your wings. Make sure you familiarise yourself with the spot's layout and steer clear of any hazardous areas, riding with a sense of caution.

By mastering the unique wind, tide, and current conditions, you unlock this breathtaking travel destination's full potential.

Missing out on the coolest events in Dubai? We know where you’ll be in November: The Crowd Test Festival — the very first Art and Music Festival by The Sandy Times.
The lineup is incredible: Mainline Magic Orchestra from Spain, Eden Burns from New Zealand, and a lot of your favourite DJs like Hani J, Hassan Alwan, Bazzzuk, and more.
Mark your calendar, snag your tickets, and get ready: November 16, 2024, from 5 PM to 3 AM at Monkey Bar, Dubai.
