Your Week In Dubai: What To Do, March 17–23

If you feel like getting out this week, we have put together a small selection of events happening around the city — from cinema and music nights to a flower workshop and a few seasonal treats. Nothing too overwhelming, just a handful of ideas for spending time differently, discovering new places, or simply enjoying a quiet evening out. Take it at your own pace, pick what feels right, and maybe try something new along the way.

Tuesday, March 17. Oscar winners (re)watch

Where? At home

The Oscars have already been handed out, and if you still haven’t seen the films that took home the biggest awards this year, now is the perfect moment to catch up and form your own opinion. Start with One Battle After Another, which won six awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, then move on to Sinners, featuring Michael B. Jordan’s Best Actor performance, and Hamnet, with Jessie Buckley awarded Best Actress. You can also add Weapons, which earned Amy Madigan the award for Best Supporting Actress. Watch them and form your own opinion!

Wednesday, March 18. Date croissant

Where? Rascals Bakehouse

Celebrate the flavours of Ramadan with seasonal desserts at Rascals Bakehouse. Try the Date Croissant — a crescent pastry filled with the sweetness of tradition — or the Date & Choco Cardamom Cake, where rich chocolate meets warm cardamom spice and the natural sweetness of dates.

Thursday, March 19. House of Love with KLO

Where? Soul Kitchen

Come by and enjoy a night of music, good energy and dancing. With KLO behind the decks, it is always a great vibe.

Friday, March 20. Hamnet

Where? Cinema Akil

Cinema Akil is screening Hamnet — an emotional story about William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes as they face the loss of their son. If you are in the mood for thoughtful cinema and a slower evening, this is a beautiful one to watch.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a floral masterclass paired with a calming handpan meditation — a moment to slow down, create something beautiful, and spend time with the people you love. Gift this experience to someone special, or simply treat yourself.

Sunday, March 22. A day to cook together

Where? At home
