Eid Fashion: Elevating Celebrations With Style

28 Mar 2024

As Ramadan progresses, it is high time to prepare for Eid al-Fitr 2024 — a closure of a month-long fasting, when people reunite with their family and friends to feast and celebrate the new beginning.
One of the most common traditions during Eid is to wear your best or new clothes as a symbol of renewal and the next chapter in life, so fashion brands tend to release special collections dedicated to the Holy month and its final point. Here are some of them.

Dior

Dior traditionally bows to the sacred period with its regular "Or" Capsule. Nodding to the gold — a house’s symbol — creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has reinterpreted some of the iconic clothing, shoes, and handbag models in a dazzling palette that perfectly works for Eid celebrations.

Stella McCartney

Just like Dior, Stella McCartney has reimagined the brand’s signature designs — this time from the Summer 2024 runaway collection, including ready-to-wear pieces and vegan accessories. The "Rose" capsule honours the eponymous flower, which in Islam is considered to be a symbol of love, beauty, and creation.

Valentino

Valentino has marked the occasion with the "In The Light" ready-to-wear and accessories collection, embracing people’s unity in their journey from dawn to dusk. In its cinematic fashion campaign, filmed in the Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre in Sharjah, the brand captures the essence of individuals merging into a collective spirit, sharing the moment under the glow of lanterns.

Olivia Von Halle

Olivia Von Halle has also drawn inspiration from the beauty of the daytime transition. The "Night By Moonlight" collection, featuring dresses, pyjamas, robes, and sleep masks, is executed by highly-skilled artisans in ancient techniques of Aari and Zardosi and reveals the magic of the dusk sky from the blissful haze of sunset to the nighty blanket of stars.

COS

COS Ramadan collection was designed with a sense of ease in mind and turned out as a capsule of comfortable garments with elongated lengths made out of fluid fabrics in refreshing tones of blue — exactly what is needed for the resting time spent with the loved ones during Eid celebrations.
