Adham Alsaiaari — the Arabic Voice In Global Fashion

26 Dec 2024

Meet Adham — the Arabic-speaking content creator dedicated to observing fashion and style across various social media platforms, thriving for over three years. He closely follows the latest fashion trends, events, and celebrity outfits, spotlighting everything from complete looks to the smallest details.
While attending numerous international fashion events, Adham remains deeply connected to Middle Eastern traditions and practices, championing emerging brands and Arab fashion. Unsure about what to wear? Follow him on Instagram for inspiration. Want to dive deeper into his fashion journey? Check out this interview.
— What inspired you to start your social media journey?
— To be honest, art and fashion have been a part of my life since childhood. I was a huge fan of fashion journals and also collected art books. During the pandemic, when we all had a bit more time than usual, I felt a surge of creative energy and wanted to channel it into something meaningful. That is when I started posting on TikTok. I shared fashion DIYs (Do It Yourself) and GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos, and gradually noticed that my audience was deeply invested in fashion.
This inspired me to create videos in Arabic, where I talked about designers' stories, fashion trends, and fashion week shows. I experimented with different formats, closely observing which ones resonated and which did not. By 2022, I had become well-known in the region for my reviews and commentary. Now, I realise my content is no longer just entertainment — it is something people actively use in their daily lives, not just something to scroll past and forget.
— Can you tell me more about your journey — where did you start, and who were you working with before? Did you pursue any formal education in fashion?
— I have lived my entire life in the UAE since I am half Emirati from my mother's side, which has given me a deep appreciation for the region’s unique blend of traditions. I graduated with a degree in Media from Sharjah University, which laid a solid foundation for my creative career. My professional journey began in 2015, where I worked as both a content creator and a social media manager. Looking back, I now see how those roles became the pillars for my social media content. Even though I was not using those skills for myself at the time, they taught me so much about storytelling and connecting with an audience. To be honest, I truly loved what I did back then, but now I find it even more fulfilling. I do not feel tied down to anyone else’s expectations — I do what I love and say what I truly think.
Fashion has always been my passion, so I decided to take it a step further as part of my personal development. I got certified as a fashion stylist from FAD Institute of Luxury Fashion and Style, which turned out to be a pivotal moment in my life. It not only enhanced my skills but also gave me the confidence to explore the fashion world more deeply.

— What challenges have you faced, and what motivates you to continue doing what you do?
— Challenges are inevitable in any field, and social media is no exception. A lot depends on algorithms, seasons, audience interests, and even the time of day! But my biggest motivation is my followers. Their passion and enthusiasm inspire me to keep going, and it genuinely makes me happy to keep them updated with the latest fashion trends and show reviews during fashion weeks.
I also receive a lot of feedback through DMs and comments, which is incredibly helpful for improving and growing.
— As a content creator, how would you describe the experience?
— Being a content creator is both exciting and demanding. Once you step into this role, consistency becomes essential — it is truly a 24/7 job. It is not a typical 9-to-6 schedule; sometimes, you need to respond in the evenings or attend events on weekends. From brainstorming ideas to filming, editing, and engaging with your audience, there is always something to keep you occupied.
Despite the challenges, the experience is incredibly rewarding. The connections you build with people are the most fulfilling part. Sharing your passion and seeing how it resonates with others is such a special feeling. While the fast-paced lifestyle can be intense, when you love what you do, it never really feels like work.
— Was your blog always connected to fashion, or did it take time to discover the field you wanted to focus on?
— Yes, it has always been connected to fashion. As I mentioned, I experimented a lot with DIYs, vlogs, trending audios, and observed celebrity outfits, quick fashion trends, and the impact of a single item in advertising campaigns. For anyone just starting out, I would recommend continuing to explore until you find what you are truly good at. Once you do, you will see what works best for you.

— You run your blog in Arabic — why did you choose this approach? Do you plan to expand into English content creation?
— I believe that as Arabs, we need to amplify our voices and share our unique perspectives with the world. Fashion commentary is still a relatively new niche in the region, and I am proud to be the first Arabic-speaking fashion commentator in the Gulf.
At the same time, I do have plans to expand into English content — starting with captions in English, at least for now. Over the years, I have met many English-speaking fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals during my visits to international fashion events and fashion weeks. Expanding into English feels like a natural progression, giving me the chance to bridge cultures and connect with a broader audience. However, I will continue sharing my passion while staying true to my roots. — Your blog shows that you travel a lot. What has been the most memorable event or place you visited?
Paris always has my heart! The city is a hub for emerging fashion brands, charming cafés, and endless creativity. The people there are incredibly stylish and fashionable, and they inspire me constantly. You can see this influence in my Instagram highlights — there are plenty of photos from my trips to Paris, capturing the essence of the city.

— Could you name some emerging Arabic brands that you feel are underrated globally?
— We have so many incredible and creative fashion brands in the Gulf region, and it makes me proud to see Arab designers thriving in the industry. I had the honour of wearing runway looks from several amazing brands at Riyadh Fashion Week, including Noble & Fresh, Noura Sulaiman, Aram Design, and Chapter4.
Each of these brands brings something unique to the table, from elegant modern designs to pieces deeply rooted in our culture. It is inspiring to witness their innovation.

— The West often influences fashion in the Arab world, but do you think Arab countries are influencing Western fashion trends as well?
— Absolutely! We are witnessing a growing influence of Arabic culture on Western fashion. Many Western designers and fashion creators are drawing inspiration from traditional Arabic patterns, fabrics, and cultural movements. Arabic culture, with its rich art, history, and storytelling, provides a wealth of inspiration.
Take the abaya, for example — it has transformed from being a traditional garment worn by Arabs into a global fashion statement. Today, it is embraced by people from diverse cultures and incorporated into various looks for different occasions.
— What advice would you give to someone who wants to update their wardrobe but does not know where to start?
I recommend beginning with a capsule wardrobe, focusing on essential pieces that can be styled in multiple ways. Opt for neutral colours like black, white, grey, and beige — these timeless shades are incredibly versatile and make it easy to create a variety of looks. Building a foundation like this helps you mix and match effortlessly.
— How do you balance staying ahead of trends and maintaining your unique style?
— Trends are constantly evolving, but not every trend works for everyone — and that is completely okay! For instance, a trending color might not complement your skin tone, or a popular fabric might not suit the climate or culture of your region. That is why it is so important to stay true to yourself. I always recommend selecting trends that align with your personality and lifestyle. Then, get creative! Blend your personal aesthetic with current trends to craft something uniquely yours. Balance is the key!

— What is one timeless wardrobe piece everyone should invest in?
I have two essentials: a classic leather bag and a pair of leather shoes. These items are timeless because they never go out of style and can elevate any outfit, no matter the occasion. With these pieces, you are ready for almost any situation, from casual outings to formal events.
— Are there any trends you initially disliked but eventually grew to love?
Yes, oversized silhouettes are a perfect example. At first, I was not sure about them because I thought they might look too baggy or unflattering. But as I matured (both in age and professionally), I realised that it is all about the right styling and proportions. The key is balance — pairing oversized pieces with more structured or fitted items creates harmony and shapes the look without overwhelming your frame. For instance, an oversized blazer looks stunning when styled with classic straight-cut trousers and a simple tucked-in shirt.
— Can you share one clothing trend you believe will dominate next season?
If I had to choose one, I would say boho-chic — especially when blended with other aesthetics like biker, cowboy, or gothic styles. So, make the most of this trend and take advantage of Christmas and New Year promotions to add these pieces to your collection.
