For Podcast Lovers: Fashion Shows Worth Listening To
13 Feb 2025

So, to be honest, I wouldn’t call myself a huge podcast fan. I don’t listen to them all the time — while running, walking somewhere, or just relaxing. Not at all. Most of the time, I either read books (or whatever I find on the internet) or watch videos.
But there are a few podcasts (some of them are even on YouTube — yay!) that I listen to because they are genuinely interesting. They all explore fashion from different angles — some focus on trends, others feature interviews with industry insiders, some dive into sustainability, and a few are exclusively about jewelry. So, here are some fashion podcasts you might enjoy too.
Fashion Neurosis
Bella Freud (full name — Isobel Lucia Freud), the renowned fashion designer and great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, hosts a show where icons from fashion, cinema, literature, and other fields come to “lie on the couch” and talk — openly, endlessly, and freely.
Among her guests are JW Anderson, Kate Moss, Rick Owens, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Eric Cantona, each bringing their own perspective to the conversation. Together, they explore the deep connection between fashion and identity, starting with questions about style and what our clothing choices reveal about us.
You have never seen the people you admire quite like this before.

If you are a fan of the Sex and the City TV series, you definitely know the Instagram account Every Outfit on Sex and the City — the one that obsessively dissects every look from the show, sparking endless debates about fashion choices. And if you are not a fan… well, funnily enough, you probably know it too.
After its viral success, the masterminds behind it, Chelsea Fairless and Lauren Garroni (aka "two friends and Sex and the City historians"), took things to the next level with their podcast, Every Outfit.
Born from their “deeply unhealthy lifelong obsession with fashion and pop culture” (as they describe themselves), this podcast is a sharp, hilarious, and sometimes brutally honest take on the fashion world. Expect biting commentary, unapologetic opinions, and plenty of pop culture deep dives — all delivered with their signature mix of wit and sarcasm. If you love fashion with a side of comedy, this one is for you.

The first thing that attracted me was the name — The Wardrobe Crisis. It immediately made me curious. What kind of crisis are we talking about? Turns out, it is the one we should all be paying attention to — sustainability in fashion.
The Wardrobe Crisis is a platform that dives deep into ethical fashion, sharing stories and knowledge with the goal of making the industry fairer and more sustainable — for both people and the planet.
Hosted by Clare Press (journalist, author, and Vogue’s first-ever sustainability editor), the podcast has been running since 2017. Every week, Clare sits down with designers, academics, and game changers in the fashion world to talk about everything from sustainability and ethics to activism and innovation. Expect thought-provoking conversations with artists, scientists, and insiders who are shaping the future of fashion.
Every signature bag has a story — how it was created, how it became iconic, and how it continues to shape fashion today. We have always been fascinated by these stories, so we decided to dive deeper and explore how fashion houses have successfully translated their legacy to fit our modern lifestyle.
That is what our podcast, "Eat Bag" on STR, is all about. Why Eat Bag, you ask? Because these bags are so beautiful, you would want to eat them.

One more podcast about sustainability in fashion — The Conscious Style Podcast. Hosts Elizabeth Joy and Stella Hertantyo dive deep into what it really takes to build a more ethical and fair fashion industry.
Through insightful conversations with changemakers, activists, and industry insiders, they explore everything from slow fashion to supply chain transparency. It is a podcast for anyone who wants to move beyond trends and get into the real work of transforming fashion.
If Jewels Could Talk
If Jewels Could Talk is a podcast all about jewelry — but not just in the way you might expect. Hosted by Carol Woolton, a leading expert and Vogue’s longtime jewelry editor, it goes beyond the sparkle to uncover the stories, history, and meaning behind some of the world’s most fascinating pieces.
From royal gems and lost fortunes to revolution, craftsmanship, and personal histories, each episode dives into what makes jewellery so much more than decoration. Who makes it? Who wears it? And why does it hold so much power?
Carol has spent over 25 years immersed in this world, writing, curating, and championing emerging designers. Here, she brings in designers, collectors, and historians for insightful, unexpected conversations that make you see jewellery in a whole new way. If you love design, history, or just a good story, this one’s worth a listen.
