From Vintage To Sunnies: KLO On Lebanese Brands She Loves

4 Sept 2025

How do we fall in love with clothes? Some of us follow fashion campaigns. Some of us just know exactly what we want. And some of us spot something on a friend and immediately ask: “Where did you get that?”

That is why we turned to our friend KLO — a DJ you definitely know, and probably have already danced to at one of her sets. We have always admired her style and wondered where she finds her pieces. So, we asked her to share her go-to Lebanese brands.

Nouvelle Vague for vintage pieces

Nouvelle Vague is a Beirut vintage gem, founded by Tatiana Fayad, who curates unique finds from around the world.

KLO: “Nouvelle Vague is where I always find my vintage pieces — colourful, unique, and really special. They have such a great selection, and since I love vintage, it’s always a treat to shop there. It’s this nice little spot in the heart of Beirut, in Gemmayze, and the vibe is super cool. They consistently have beautiful pieces, and I love this shop because it feels so authentic.”

Location: 268 Gouraud Street, Gemmayze, Beirut, Lebanon.

The Sweatshop for athlesure and funky swimsuits

The Sweatshop is more than a shop — it is a Beirut lifestyle hub that connects fitness, fashion, and creativity. Alongside athleisure and swimwear, it often collaborates with local designers and hosts community-focused projects.

KLO: “The Sweatshop is a great option for swimsuits. I remember seeing their stand once when I was in the mountains. They had really cool swimsuits — great designs and good quality. Since I’m definitely a swimsuit person, I love what they offer.”

Location: Mkhallissiye Street, Saifi Village, Beirut, Lebanon.

SEAM for eveningwear

SEAM is a Lebanese label that leans into elegance with a contemporary touch. Known for refined tailoring and attention to detail, the brand creates standout pieces for women who want to feel powerful and graceful at the same time.

KLO: "For me, SEAM is all about eveningwear — dresses, chic silhouettes, even wedding looks. Very feminine and elegant."

Aqui for classy, elegant date-night fits

Aqui was born out of a love for minimal design and effortless sophistication. Its collections bring together clean lines, timeless palettes, and versatile cuts — the kind of clothes that can shift seamlessly from day to night.

KLO: "Aqui is casual with a classy twist—simple yet refined pieces that feel effortless and stylish."

Location: Monot Ashrafieh, Beirut.

Karen Wazen for sunnies

Karen Wazen, Lebanese‑British fashion entrepreneur, turned her personal style into a global brand, creating sunglasses that push boundaries with daring shapes and bold textures. Her label has quickly become an international favourite, blending fashion-forward design with accessibility.

KLO: "Karen Wazen really made it big. Her sunglasses stand out with their unique shapes, textures, and colours. Plus, it feels great to support a Lebanese woman leading a global brand."
