Perfume Brands That Celebrate Middle Eastern Heritage

11 Sept 2024

We have already done a feature on Middle Eastern perfume brands (check it out here), but there is no way we are stopping at just one article — especially with so many amazing fragrance brands out there, from tiny labels to bigger, more established names. In this piece, we are highlighting a few brands that celebrate Middle Eastern heritage (and yes, one of them is an international brand!).

Ideo Parfumeurs

Ideo Parfumeurs is an independent fragrance brand that blends the creative spirit of Beirut with the craftsmanship of Grasse, France. Known for its vegan, carefully crafted scents, the brand offers perfumes that are both elegant and accessible.
Founded by Ludmila Bitar, the brand offers thoughtfully designed fragrances rooted in decades-old perfume-making traditions.

Amouage

You have probably seen this brand’s products almost... everywhere. Amouage is a renowned luxury perfume house founded in Oman in 1983 by the Albusaidi family with the vision of becoming "The Gift of Kings." Known for blending Arabian heritage with modern artistry, Amouage creates some of the world’s finest perfumes. The brand combines Eastern opulence with Western craftsmanship, using rare ingredients from across the globe, hand-blended by master perfumers from Paris, Grasse, Geneva, and New York.
With a repertoire of over 50 iconic fragrances like Gold, Jubilation, and Reflection, Amouage has earned a global following and is available in more than 80 countries. Beyond their exquisite perfumes, the brand also offers a luxurious range of bath products, candles, and home fragrances.
Their goal is to create the finest perfumes possible, with meticulous attention to every detail: “At the Amouage Manufacture, each day is dedicated to perfect High Perfumery, with great detail, ensuring each product — may it be a sample vial or a bottle — is the highest quality.”

Vividly

A Saudi-based perfume brand that, judging by its name, aims to make your style (or life?) more vivid. Their slogan is "Be Vividly To Feel Vividly." They take a meticulous approach to crafting each scent, ensuring that every fragrance matches the mood of the person who will wear it.

Initio Parfums Privés

The French luxury fragrance house Initio Parfums Privés has already released oud-based scents, including Oud for Happiness and Oud for Greatness. This June, they introduced a brand new addition — Oud for Greatness NEO, featuring four main notes: oud, fir balsam, bergamot, and Orpur lavender.
The creators of the fragrance describe NEO as the result of alchemy between the power of nature and science, a subtle blend of freshness and strength.

Emirates Pride

You definitely know this brand; it is a big one, too. Emirates Pride started with a simple idea: to bring fragrances that truly reflect Arab culture to the forefront. While perfumes have always been a part of life in the Arab world, most scents on the market were geared toward Western traditions and celebrations. Seeing this gap, they decided to fill it by creating fragrances that speak directly to Arab culture, from Bakhour and Oud to special collections for Eid.
Launched in 2011 in Dubai, Emirates Pride quickly became known for its unique, high-quality perfumes made from the finest ingredients sourced globally. Today, with over 45 products, they offer everything from Arabic perfumes to body mists, all crafted with elegance and authenticity.
