There are some movies that you remember not just for their plot but for something else: the food the characters eat. The movie might be about food, or it might have nothing to do with it — but you still remember it and end up dreaming about eating that burger or pizza, just like in that film. Or maybe your stomach starts growling halfway through, and you immediately order something to eat. From our long list of films, here are the ones with food scenes that are so mouthwatering that they’ll make your head spin.
"Sloppy Joe" — It Takes Two
First, it was one of my favourite childhood movies. Second, that "Sloppy Joe" burger has been stuck in my mind ever since I saw it about 25 years ago. Despite how messy the kids are in that scene, you just can't help but want to make a burger like that and enjoy life as much as they do.
Cheeseburger — The Menu
Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) ends up starving after a rather intense evening at a restaurant (no spoilers—just in case you haven’t seen it yet) and asks Chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) to make something simpler. What does she ask for? A cheeseburger — perfectly juicy, simple, and delicious.

Waffles — Stranger Things
Eleven’s favourite food. She first discovered Eggo waffles the morning after Mike Wheeler found her. Mike offered her something to eat, and she pulled frozen Eggo waffles from the fridge — and that was it. Since then, we have all wanted to try those waffles too.
Pizza and bagels — Friends
Fans counted: throughout Friends, 152 different dishes were eaten. And a huge portion of those were pizzas and bagels. And, of course, coffee from Central Perk, served in those cozy oversized mugs.
Noodles — Hunger
In my opinion, it is one of the best movies about chefs. Twenty-year-old Aoy works at her family’s noodle shop in the backstreets of Bangkok, expertly cooking noodles in a wok. She seems to make them from whatever she has on hand, and she does it so well that a person from a famous restaurant notices her and invites Aoy to try her skills in the kitchen of a well-known chef named Paul.
Burger — Pulp Fiction
This iconic burger appears at the beginning of the movie when Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vincent (John Travolta) visit some guys who betrayed their boss, Marsellus Wallace. Jules grabs a burger from one of the guys' meals and casually starts asking about the "Big Kahuna Burger." A great conversation topic, considering the tension in the room, and one of the most memorable food moments in movies.
Cookies — Ted Lasso
Yep, I am back with Ted Lasso. Those who have seen the show will remember how Ted brought cookies to the club owner every day. Later, it turned out that he baked them himself.
Chinese Takeout — The Big Bang Theory
Only on Fridays, without breaking the rules — unless you want to make Sheldon very anxious. After seeing that takeout in those little boxes, I immediately wanted the same thing. And even now, whenever I have noodles in a box, I think of The Big Bang Theory.
