إذا كنت تعتقد أن هذا الأسبوع في دبي سيكون أهدأ قليلاً — فكّر مرة ثانية. هناك الكثير مما يحدث، ومرة أخرى اخترنا الفعاليات التي كنا سنذهب إليها نحن فعلاً.

ابدأ بالتيه في "Found and Lost" لجون ديلغ، ثم خصّص وقتاً لـ Daniel’s Room الذي افتتح حديثاً لـ دانيال أرشام (حيث القهوة والتصميم وكل تفصيلة تأتي تماماً في مكانها) واختم بتوقف في Cocina Tres لنكهات مكسيكية جريئة.

على الأجندة أيضاً: Reel Palestine في Cinema Akil، وSecta Garage Open Air (يفعلون شيئاً غير واقعي في كل مرة)، وMini Festival الخاص بـ Vinyl Souk، متنقّلاً بين جلسات الفينيل والموسيقى الحية والحوارات والعروض والرقصات عبر أنحاء المدينة.

أين؟ Taymour Grahne Projects — دبي، Alserkal Avenue، Warehouse 31A

يحوّل الفنان الأمريكي جون ديلغ المناظر المألوفة إلى عوالم تأملية شبيهة بالأحلام، مشحونة بالذاكرة والمعنى. ومنطلقاً من التجريد، تستكشف لوحاته بدرجات ترابية مشاهد بحرية وغابات وشلالات وشخصيات منفردة، موازِنةً بين العزلة والتعرّف داخل اتساع الطبيعة.

تعكس "Found and Lost"، أحدث مجموعة أعمال لديلغ، دهشته أمام العالم الطبيعي وقلقه على مستقبله الهش. مستلهماً من صور مُلتقطة/مُعثر عليها، يعيد الفنان تخيّل شذرات من الواقع إلى مناظر رمزية تصبح فيها المياه والأشجار والأقمار أوعية للذاكرة. تدعو هذه الأعمال للتأمل في علاقتنا بالطبيعة والزمن والفقد.

أين؟ دبي مول، Daniel’s Room

افتتح Daniel’s Room للتو في دبي مول بتاريخ 25 يناير، وهو مقهى من تصميم الفنان دانيال أرشام، يقدّم قهوة مختصّة، لقيمات خفيفة، ومعجّنات ضمن مساحة تركّز على التصميم.

كتب دانيال أرشام: “صمّمت كل تفصيلة في المكان، من الأثاث إلى الأطباق والكؤوس والملاعق. كما قضيت أشهرًا في تطوير واختبار القائمة أيضاً، من القهوة إلى كل معجّنة وكعكة. لا شيء هنا جاء بالصدفة.”

إلى جانب الطعام، يقدّم المقهى أيضاً إصدارات محدودة من أعمال أرشام، بما في ذلك كتب وأطباق وكؤوس وقطع صُنعت خصيصاً للمكان.

Where? Pullman Downtown Level 2

The same team behind Dubai favourites Miss Lily’s and Honeycomb Hi-Fi (VKD Hospitality) has opened a new spot — this time Mexican — called Cocina Tres.

Get ready for plenty of handmade tortillas, tacos, and all the authentic flavours of Mexican cuisine.

Where? Cinema Akil, Alserkal Avenue, Warehouse 68

Reel Palestine returns to Cinema Akil for its 12th edition, running from January 23 to February 1, with a programme featuring 11 feature films and 29 screenings, including two Academy Award–nominated titles. The festival offers a powerful look at contemporary Palestinian cinema across fiction and documentary.

On Friday, January 30, the festival presents two documentary screenings.

At 7:00 pm, With Hasan in Gaza by Kamal Aljafari unfolds as an intimate portrait of nine-year-old Hasan growing up amid the ruins of Gaza. Blending lived reality with cinematic memory, the film reflects on childhood, war, and resilience through a deeply personal lens.

At 9:15 pm, Who Is Still Alive by Nicolas Wadimoff brings together nine voices from Gaza, each recounting life before and during the war. As they redraw their neighbourhoods in chalk — Jabaliya, Nuseirat, Khan Younis — the film becomes a fragile yet powerful act of remembrance, reclaiming humanity, dreams, and presence in the face of erasure.

Where? Jebel Ali, The Garage

These guys are at it again — and, as usual, it is something unreal.

Secta kicks off the 2026 season with a multi-room edition, taking over the Garage area from their last Open Air.

This capsule mini-festival will unfold across three areas inside a unique abandoned industrial space, featuring an extensive line-up and a dedicated art hub. Expect Secta’s signature high-quality production and curation, exclusive art and design collaborations, special Secta merch, and a vinyl listening corner in collaboration with Killacuts Amsterdam.

10 hours of music, fun, and pure joy, across an indoor/outdoor setting made for the dancefloor.

أين؟ فندق 25hours One Central

فاينل سوك يرجع من جديد مع مهرجانه المصغّر — النسخة الثالثة، وما زال كلّه عن الموسيقى، والمجتمع، والأصوات الإقليمية.

في 1 فبراير، يستولي المهرجان على فندق 25hours One Central من الساعة 4 مساءً إلى وقت متأخر، ويحوّل الفندق إلى مساحة تتحرّك فيها طوال اليوم — من جلسات الفاينل والحوارات إلى العروض الحية وحلبات الرقص لآخر الليل.

ينطلق اليوم في Nomad Day Bar مع الفاينل في قلب الحدث، ويضم Unfamiliar Familiar من Disc Jockey، وDMC Middle East Showcase، وسِت عميق التنقيب عن الكنوز من Vik Sohonie، وختاماً روحانياً مع Somalie. ويستضيف Cinema Akil ورشة DJ، وحواراً عن مستقبل الموسيقى، والعرض الأول في دبي لفيلم Mixtape.

وفي أماكن أخرى، يميل Monkey Bar إلى أصوات النادي التجريبية مع Jugaar Records Showcase، فيما يجلب The Terrace طاقة بإيقاع غني عبر Feedasoul Records، بينما يواصل Room #3 وSecret Garden العروض الحية والإيقاعات الاستوائية حتى الليل.
