The weekend is finally here — and let us be honest, December has been driving us all a little mad. It is the season of endless to-do lists, crowded malls, and that nagging feeling you have forgotten something. Take a deep breath because recharging is a must after a stressful week.

Karak on The Dhow: Sip, sail, and celebrate

What happens when you mix a steaming cup of karak, a traditional dhow, and Dubai’s finest creatives? You get Karak on The Dhow — a one-of-a-kind party that is making waves (literally) on December 21. From 5 pm to 10 pm, set sail from Al Seef’s ILC Dhow and dive into an evening of music, heritage, and community.
Kick off with Karak Conversations, featuring GUNK magazine and thought leaders from Dubai’s creative scene. Then, groove to live performances by Sudanese third-culture artists like The Circle and G Salih before dancing the night away with DJ KABOO, TEEJAE, and BYMISHH spinning hip-hop and R&B vibes.
Fancy a little more? Explore FUGAZZI’s genderless perfumes, try knot-tying workshops with Wind Rises Dubai, and indulge in treats from Butter Bross Bakery. Oh, and don’t miss cocktails from Tap Line Bar — your new favourite spot before it even opens.
