Fashion Spotlight: One of the newest Emirati fashion labels, ONORI (@onorithelabel), launches a pop-up at 222 concept store in Alserkal Avenue (we have already explained why brands create pop-ups here). There, they presented their debut collection honouring the legendary style and women of the great 60s, 70s, and 80s.
The Brand
ONORI (which is Italian for “honour”) claims to be more than just fashion. The brand positions itself as a celebration of beauty, empowerment, and giving back. Inspired by the charm of past eras, they infuse contemporary flair into their garments and accessories. ONORI’s founder, Sharifa AlSharif AlHashemi, strived to empower individuals with bold, self-expressive designs reflecting confidence and wearable art. Each piece is a tribute to strength and compassion, with proceeds supporting philanthropic causes. The brand donates $5 to Emirates Red Crescent with every purchase, embodying their commitment to making the world a better place. ONORI fashion embraces uniqueness and encourages self-expression, allowing individuals to paint their own stories on the canvas of our designs.
The Collection
ONORI deeply admires famous women from history and culture, including those who have influenced the founder, AlHashemi (read here stories of other brands — jewelry ones — which cherish their legacy). Their goal is to bring back styles from different times, celebrating the confidence, charm, and power of these women. You can really see the blend of elements from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s in our designs, mixing nostalgia with modern style.
ONORI’s first collection is full of intricate details, like vintage-style collars with rhinestones, cute baby-doll dresses, and big organza shirts. They also add pearls to buttons, collars, and gloves, giving them a classy, timeless look. And it is not just clothes — they also have stage-worthy accessories designed by AlHashemi herself. From transparent gloves to sparkly chokers, each piece adds a bit of luxury to any outfit.
The Pop-Up
Find ONORI at 222 cOncept store at Le Guepard in Alserkal Avenue. You will have a chance to dress like a diva within the month of May. Come in any time and any day to turn into Grace Kelly (yes, there is a Grace dress as well).
