In a world where fashion mirrors the zeitgeist, we stood no chance against the massive tenniscore comeback this summer. “Challengers” and “Federer” premiers, together with the annual Wimbledon tournament, major old-money trend, and numerous tennis-themed fashion collabs, inspired another wave of athletic aesthetics, bringing once again polo shirts, pleated skirts, and their ilk off the court to the streets. So, let’s enjoy the feast of sophistication and figure out how to serve a perfect look by adapting tennis elements to daily life.
White colour has always been one of the main staples of tennis wear due to its symbolism and practicality during outdoor matches, and even prestigious tournaments require players to dress predominantly in it. Elegant and clean, it reflects the heat and creates a crisp refreshing look that will work perfectly for hot active days, so why don’t you give it a try? Don’t waste time on trifles and venture to go all-in with the total white look.
Another ingredient of tenniscore is preppy style, so feel free to integrate college-inspired pieces, such as vintage-looking bomber jackets with patches or cable knits into your wardrobe.
One thing that can’t be left behind is a tennis skirt. Pleated or straight, white or coloured, it is nearly synonymic with tennis-referred fashion.
