Saudi Dancers Who Are Making Waves Right Now

Lately, we have been really inspired by dancer Soony’s project Our Eid Is Different. It shows dancers in traditional clothing, getting ready for Ramadan — and then breaking into expressive movement. It feels fresh and honestly unlike anything we’ve seen before.

What is even cooler is that Soony brought together a whole group of emerging talent from the Saudi dance scene. Every single one of them is seriously talented and definitely worth keeping an eye on.

So today, we are spotlighting them. Trust us — you will want to remember these names!

Soony

Soony is a dancer and choreographer from Riyadh who uses dance as a deeply personal form of expression.

Growing up, dance became a way for him to communicate emotions he couldn’t put into words — something he describes as being able to “express everything I couldn’t say.” His journey wasn’t straightforward, especially in a context where dance wasn’t always widely accepted, but that challenge shaped his identity and artistic voice.

Today, his work goes beyond movement: it is about storytelling, emotion, and creating space for others to express themselves. Through his projects, he is helping redefine how dance is seen in Saudi Arabia and opening doors for a new generation of creatives.
