Glamping means you want to experience camping and be surrounded by wildlife without worrying about... anything. It is like a glamorous version of camping (by the way, the name “glamping” is derived from “glamorous” and “camping”), where everything is already prepared for your luxury vacation in the middle of nowhere.
Touristic tent? No, that is traditional camping. Glamping might include a touristic tent, but it transforms the experience into something more. Instead of just a tent, you will find a beautiful, cozy house in the shape of a tent. Additionally, glamping might offer dome houses, some of which are entirely or partially transparent (you have probably seen such houses on Instagram).
In the UAE, with its breathtaking landscapes, there are numerous opportunities for glamping. Here are a few of them. Warning: just one look at the photos below, and you will find yourself booking a reservation. Don't say we didn't warn you!
Moon Retreat by Sharjah Collection
Moon Retreat offers a choice of 10 domes and six private tents, each boasting spectacular desert vistas. All accommodations feature terraces equipped with barbecue facilities, and most include access to a temperature-controlled swimming pool.

The Nest by Sonara
The Nest, designed by the renowned architect Gianni Ranaulo, made its debut in September 2022, blending harmoniously with the desert surroundings. Featuring a total of 14 Nests, each boasts an ensuite bathroom and private terrace, with the option to accommodate up to two adults and two children. You can also enjoy a private movie night with a projector under the stars set-up on the terrace of your Nest, along with the captivating Sky Safari experience, which offers insights into astronomy and Arab heritage. Accessible by car or their private chauffeur service, your journey to this desert retreat is effortless.

Mleiha Glamping
You can choose from two tariffs: Premium (675 AED per adult) and Standard (525 AED per adult). The premium tents feature ensuite bathrooms and privacy blinds between tents, offering an added layer of exclusivity for those seeking a more private stay. In the Standard option, you will find the same amenities list, with the exception of ensuite bathrooms. Instead, it offers 12 centrally located common bathrooms and showers.
The Nomadic Experience
If you are keen on experiencing life in a touristic tent, The Nomadic is an excellent choice. They set up the tent and equip it with everything a guest needs, from a canvas tent with a cozy bed to a full BBQ and stove setup, along with all the necessary amenities.
Hatta Dome Park
Hatta offers a unique glamping experience with 15 dome-shaped, permanent tent structures designed to provide panoramic views of the Hatta Mountain Range through large windows. Guests can enjoy the enchantment of sleeping under the starry skies.
The resort provides a tranquil setting amidst nature for those seeking to escape city life and enjoy an outdoor stay under the stars. Each dome tent comes with its own private BBQ and fire pit on a spacious terrace, ideal for families and groups looking to gather comfortably. Inside, guests will find double beds, single sofa beds, and a modern washroom. Additional amenities include an in-room TV, mini fridge, safe, and more.
